The Creative Ladder is honored to host one of the best directors of all time, Spike Lee, as the headline presenter at our next free virtual event, “Breaking Into Filmmaking as a Creator of Color.”

Kicking off at 11 a.m. Eastern / 8 a.m. Pacific on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, this event will feature Spike Lee in conversation with three of today's most talented rising commercial directors: Joshua Kissi, Bethany Mollenkof and Ritesh Gupta.

The four directors will share their advice on getting started in filmmaking, turning it into a career and making the most of your first breaks, among several other topics.

This highly anticipated event is presented by Creative Ladder in partnership with our sister organization, Group Effort Initiative, which works hard each day to make entertainment production more inclusive. And it wouldn't be possible without the support of our friends at Capital One, who've been partnering with Spike Lee on creative marketing for years.
